Digital X-Rays
Intraoral Cameras
Our digital x-ray machines give us accurate pictures of your tooth roots and bones, as well as any tartar, decay, infection, or defects you may have. We can also see the status of gum disease, whether it is healing or progressing. The images are saved in a computer so we can compare them over time.
Patients appreciate digital x-rays because they return an image extremely quickly. You can see your x-rays within moments. Also, they expose you to about 80% less radiation than traditional x-ray machines.
This is a type of optical camera that is designed to work in the mouth. It will show you and your dentist enlarged images of your teeth, gums, and other oral features—up to 3,000 times larger than life. You can directly see the portion of your mouth that needs a treatment plan.
Dental Technology at our Edmond Dentist Office
Our CT scanner creates a three-dimensional image of your mouth. Your dentist will be able to look at your jawbone, each tooth, nerve pathways, and airway from every angle to give you the best diagnosis we can offer.
During the scan, you’ll stand up in the machine for a short time. It uses a much lower amount of radiation than a whole-body scan. It’s also safe for children!
CAS/CAM Restorations
CAD stands for “computer-aided design,” and CAM stands for “computer-aided manufacturing.” These technologies allow us to create restorations for a tooth or teeth very quickly. In one sitting, we can scan a tooth, manufacture a crown for it, and place it on your tooth.
You won’t need to get a messy impression made and then come back in for another appointment to receive the crown. This technology gets it all done in a single, convenient appointment, so we can relieve your dental symptoms more quickly.
Digital Impressions
We value your time and your comfort here at Redbud Dental. Rather than use a messy impression putty, we have a machine that produces digital impressions for you! With these digital impressions, we can quickly take images that are more accurate than the molds from years past.
These images are ready immediately and can easily be stored for years to come. We can even share these images with your healthcare providers and insurance company. Digital impressions are a leap forward in technology, making dental work more convenient and efficient for you!
Cavitron

We use the Cavitron tool to clean your teeth quickly and thoroughly. It uses high-frequency sound waves to remove plaque, tartar, and other foreign particles from your teeth. It can also kill the pathogens that cause gum disease. Plus, Cavitron tools cause almost no pain!
